Could Shane McMahon really wrestle an old WWE foe on the independent circuit?

Former WWE star Braun Strowman has already started teasing a reunion with Shane McMahon on the independent scene.

Braun, who now wrestles under his real name as Adam Scherr and as 'The Titan', posted a pic of him grabbing Shane by the throat back at WrestleMania 37 on Instagram. The pair worked together in a steel cage bout on that pay-per-view, and it looks like Scherr is interested in going another round.

He captioned the photo, "All you have to do is knock our doors open, brother!".

Is the ex-Strowman suggesting that McMahon really rekindle their rivalry outside WWE's walls on the indy circuit? That's what the caption reads like.

Shane was recently released by his own father Vince McMahon following some controversy backstage at last weekend's Royal Rumble event. There, Shane reportedly irked a lot of people by throwing his weight around and trying to rebook the 30-man match around himself.

Things got so heated that Vince elected to let Shane go. So, basically, Scherr's proposal isn't impossible. It is, however, fairly unlikely that McMahon's 'Boy Wonder' will rock up on an indy show somewhere soon.
