Former WWE star Ryback wants to make his first in-ring appearance since 2018, and he wants to do it in AEW.

The one-time Intercontinental Champion told MuscleMan Malcolm on YouTube that he's also identified Wardlow as an ideal first opponent in All Elite circles. That, Ryback says, would be a "big opportunity" to do something special. Wardlow has caught Ryback's eye, and impressed him thus far.

Ryback's last recorded match was a win over Dylan Bostic on a 25 August 2018 independent show (NEW Wrestling Under The Stars). Before that, the 'Big Guy' had even teamed with WWE legend Jerry Lawler in a tag match for the same promotion.

His last WWE match was way back in May 2016 - Ryback lost a United States Title bout to Kalisto on the Payback pre-show, then eventually departed the company that August.

There's no word yet on whether or not Tony Khan would be interested in bringing the ex-WWE man in for a cameo role. Or, maybe he'd fancy something more long-term. That's anyone's guess right now, but Ryback definitely wants to become #AllElite and wrestle Wardlow soon.
