Various outlets, including Fightful, are reporting that former WWE, WCW and ECW star Charles '2 Cold Scorpio' Scaggs has been sentenced to 6 years in prison for assault and armed criminal action.

Scaggs was arrested in June 2024 following an incident with a man at a travel shop. He'd been working as a security guard there and claimed self defence, but things escalated and got out of hand to the point that the wrestler stabbed the other guy. Again, he claimed that was a defensive move, but the courts ruled otherwise.

Judges will give Scaggs the chance to go through probation, which could lead to him being released to serve out the rest of his sentence under supervision. However, if Charles fails to complete the 120-day course, then he'd have to serve his 6 year sentence in jail.

The 60 year old continued wrestling match right up until August 2025, but there's no record of him appearing on independent shows beyond a date with GCW last year. Scaggs debuted in 1985 and was once considered one of the best flyers in the entire industry.

He gained fame with WCW in the early-90s before stints with ECW and in the WWF as Flash Funk. That pimp character didn't really gain traction, so Charles returned to his Scorpio moniker before leaving the federation in 1999. He'd then experience a brief renaissance in 2006-2007.

Scaggs decided to plead guilty to the charges in the end. Next stop: Probation. Get through "an intensive, highly structured, boot-camp-style program designed to deliver a shock to the offender" and he won't be imprisoned in a cell.
