Former WWE worker Darren Young is set to make his New Japan Pro Wrestling debut at the promotion's Fighting Spirit Unleashed event in September.

NJPW's international Twitter account posted that Unleashed would be a "huge two night spectacular" that'd see the in-ring debut of 'Mr. No Days Off' Fred Rosser.

Other matches announced include KENTA vs. Jeff Cobb, Flip Gordon vs. Jay White and Brody King vs. Hikuleo.

Rosser left WWE in October 2017, but hasn't wrestled extensively since - his highest-profile matches post-WWE have been in CHIKARA. New Japan represents a big opportunity for the ex-Prime Time Player to show what he's capable of.

At 36 years old, he still has something to offer.

Rosser was never known for being a standout in-ring during his WWE tenure, so some will be curious to see how he takes to New Japan's robust style. The company haven't revealed exactly who he'll be working with on the card either, so that's worth keeping an eye on too.

For reference (as Young), Rosser was a one-time WWE Tag-Team Champion alongside Titus O'Neil. Could he make a surprising splash in Japan?
