Final Two Horsewomen Of MMA Sign With WWE
WWE's Horsewomen, meet MMA's Horsewomen!
WWE announced Monday that the last two of MMA's Four Horsewomen, Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke had begun their training at the Performance Centre. They join Ronda Rousey and current NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler, meaning the Four Horsewomen of MMA are all under the same roof.
Jessamyn Duke competed in the bantamweight category from 2012 until 2016. In 2013, she appeared on UFC's reality TV series The Ultimate Fighter, where she was a part of Team Rousey. Recently, she had been training with Ronda at the Santino Bros Wrestling School in California.
Marina Shafir may be familiar to some WWE fans, as she is engaged to current NXT Tag Team Champion Roderick Strong, with whom she has a child with that was born just over one year ago. Known under the alias of 'The Supernova From Molvoda', Shafir has also appeared at ringside for many of Strong's matches.
Following their confrontation with WWE's Four Horsewomen during the Mae Young Classic, fans can now salivate at the fact we may actually get the eight women tag team match they've been waiting for.
