Finn Balor Challenges Edge For WWE WrestleMania 39

The Judgment Day isn't quite finished with their former leader yet.

Lest you thought that Edge and the Judgment Day were finished with each other, Finn Balor laid down a WrestleMania challenge to the Rated-R Superstar on Raw Monday night.

Edge might have created the Judgment Day, but the stable took off after he was unceremoniously booted from the group last summer. Since then, Balor, Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley have added Dominik Mysterio to their ranks and turned into a reliably entertaining faction.

Heading into WrestleMania 39, Royal Rumble winner Ripley is challenging Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women's Championship, and Dominik seems to be locked in to face his father Rey Mysterio. But Balor is looking to avenge his and Ripley's loss to Edge and his wife Beth Phoenix at Elimination Chamber in a mixed tag match.

Last week, Finn cost Edge the United States Championship, then he delivered a series of Coup de Grace diving stomps. Monday, he issued the Mania challenge.

Balor versus Edge could be a really good singles grudge match, especially if it finally puts a bow on this feud. With the challenge just being laid down, it's possible we could see a stipulation added or some other extracurriculars incorporated into the match. Either way, it looks like the Hall-of-Famer will once again get a spotlight at Mania.
