All Elite Wrestling has finally confirmed the date and location for its first Battle of the Belts live special.

The supercard will take place on Saturday 8 January at the Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, 27 November.

AEW announced the event during last night's Dynamite show, with the promotional package featuring 'Hangman' Adam Page, Britt Baker, the Lucha Brothers, and Sammy Guevara - all of the company's main title-holders. Battle of the Belts' concept is said to be inspired by the old WCW Clash of the Champions shows, so it could end up leaning heavily on title fights.

Several key details are yet to be confirmed for Battle of the Belts, including the show's length. While a two-hour PPV-esque show was originally mooted, recent reports suggest it may end up being just one hour long.

Semi-regular Saturday night TNT specials have been in the works for six months, with AEW confirming them as part of a new agreement signed with WarnerMedia back in May. The adds to a busy few months for AEW, with Winter is Coming on 15 December, Dynamite's move to TBS on 5 January, and Revolution 2022 soon after.
