New Japan Pro Wrestling will collaborate with sister promotion STARDOM for a special event on Sunday 20 November.

This was announced during an official NJPW press conference earlier today, with Tokyo's 15,000-seater Ariake Arena the stated location. It will be the first time the two companies have ever co-promoted a full event, though recent Wrestle Kingdoms have seen STARDOM wrestlers compete in undercard showcase matches.

NJPW's parent company, Bushiroad, completed its acquisition of STARDOM in October 2019. Three months later, Mayu Iwatani, Arisa Hoshiki, Giulia, and Hana Kimura represented their home company at New Japan's signature event, Wrestle Kingdom 14.

Iwatani and STARDOM rostermate Starlight Kid were on hand at today's NJPW press conference. Hiroshi Tanahashi and Great-O-Khan represented New Japan.

Bushiroad is yet to reveal a name for the upcoming NJPW x STARDOM show, which will be New Japan's third big interpromotional pay-per-view of the year. The first, a collaboration with Pro Wrestling NOAH, took place on Wrestle Kingdom 16's third night (8 January) and was headlined by Kazuchika Okada and Tanahashi vs. Keiji Mutoh and Kaito Kiyomiya. Up next is AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on 26 June, then the STARDOM event.
