The first footage and images of WWE's WrestleMania 37 set construction have hit the internet, and yes, the promotion is going all in on the pirate theme.

Not content with Raymond James Stadium's built-in pirate galleon, WWE is building another for the Showcase of the Immortals:-

That big, daft construction looks out of this world. And huge!

Here are some stills of the stage being put together:-

It'll likely be easier for one of WWE's wrestlers to pull off a crazy dive from this custom-built set, rather than the building's existing ship, even if this one looks significantly bigger. Still, it's cool to see WWE fully embracing the pirate theme.

Aesthetics are a huge, huge part of WrestleMania's appeal. This is the Hollywood popcorn show, and a night where explosions and bombast take precedent over everything else. Last year saw WWE forced into airing their annual Show of Shows inside the dark, dingy Performance Center, so it was vital that they nailed the design this year. Though the set isn't compete yet, it looks like they're well on their way to building a memorable visual.

This thing should look incredible when it's done.
