Jim Ross has unveiled the first proper look at the set for tonight's special Bash at the Beach episode of AEW Dynamite, as the Tony Khan-helmed promotion revive the old WCW concept for modern audiences.

Here's what it looks like from up in the bleachers:-

So far, so... normal?

While it's possible that AEW hasn't finished decorating the set yet, this looks disappointing. Holding it on an actual beach was never really on the cards, of course, but the current design doesn't play to the gimmick at all, meaning the show could look exactly like any other episode of Dynamite. Here's hoping they jazz it up a little bit before tonight's show.

This will be AEW's third gimmicked Dynamite this year. 1 January saw them return to their Jacksonville, FL base for a homecoming show set in the visually stunning Daily's Place, with the following week branded a one-year anniversary special. Tonight's episode won't be the last of these, either, as that one will be filmed during Chris Jericho's Rock 'N' Wrestling Rager at Sea.
