The Forgotten Sons could be returning to WWE television imminently.

Jaxson Ryker posted the following to Instagram on Friday evening, suggesting that the trio is on the comeback trail:-

The Forgotten Sons were removed from WWE television in June, when Ryker made the incomprehensibly tone-deaf move of using heightened racial tensions in the United States to try and put heat on him, his group, and his catchphrase, drawing widespread criticism from the likes Kevin Owens, Mustafa Ali, and more. Ryker's two stablemates (Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake) publically distanced themselves from the comments, as did his own sister.

Stories of backstage heat followed, with Ryker seemingly become a persona non grata in the locker-room. There's no word on whether or not this has eased off since the Sons were banished from SmackDown.

The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer reported that the trio were set to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championships before Ryker ruined it for Cutler and Blake. They'd have defeated The New Day as part of their ongoing feud, though WWE was forced to pivot following Jaxson's gaffe, running with Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesar as heel champions instead.
