Former AEW Champion Reporting To WWE Performance Center THIS WEEK

WWE to finalise major coup from under AEW's nose imminently.

Jade Cargill

Jade Cargill is expected to be at the WWE Performance Center later this week, as the former AEW TBS Champion moves closer to jumping ship between America's two biggest professional wrestling promotions.

PWInsider's Mike Johnson has learned as much from WWE sources. Additionally, Johnson notes that Cargill's AEW contract is believed to have expired, which would make her a free agent.

Fightful Select broke the news that Cargill was likely done with AEW and on her way to WWE, doing so last week. Later, Raj Giri reported he'd be "willing to put good money that she stays with AEW." It now appears the short saga is nearing its conclusion.

Should she depart, Jade's last AEW match came against TBS Champion Kris Statlander on the 15 September episode of Rampage. This was Cargill's first clash in close to four months, having taken time away from AEW after dropping the TBS belt to Statlander at Double Or Nothing 2023 on 28 May.

Cargill has been in wrestling since November 2020, when she debuted opposite Cody Rhodes on an episode of AEW Dynamite, setting up a debut match pitting her and NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal against Rhodes and Red Velvet.
