Former AEW Star Makes Shock WWE NXT Debut

One of several surprises, this former AEW man made a shock appearance on last night's NXT.

Following reports earlier this month that he'd quietly departed AEW, Ethan Page made a shock appearance on last night's NXT.

As Lash Legend questioned Trick Williams about who took out Noam Dar and Oro Mensah, the lights briefly went out. When the lights returned, All Ego was standing behind Trick and attacked him, before announcing that he was the one responsible for the attacks on Dar and Mensah.

On the back of this, Fightful Select reports that a deal for Page was finalised over the past week, with the Canadian making a visit to the WWE Performance Center last week, too. As for yesterday, the former North man was not seen backstage during the day and was not a part of the standard rehearsals. From sources the outlet spoke to, they were "immediately pleased" with Page's debut, with main roster sources also reaching out to express their excitement about this signing.

In terms of his AEW exit, it's not known whether this was a matter of Ethan Page's contract naturally expiring or whether he was released by the promotion. Either way, the talent was hoping this exit would fly under the radar until "he appeared somewhere else" - with that "somewhere else" now being NXT.
