Former IMPACT Wrestling Title-Holder Set For AEW Tapings
This former IMPACT Wrestling champion has confirmed his participation in the AEW show...
Rohit Raju has confirmed he will be at AEW's next set of Dark tapings at Universal Studios, Orlando, Florida.
The former IMPACT Wrestling X-Division Champion said as much to Fightful Select. While there is currently no word on when, exactly, the tapings are due to take place, Fightful state that wrestlers have been contacted about participating in them.
The tapings will cover at least part of AEW's Dark content for March.
If Raju does appear at the Dark tapings, it'll be for the third consecutive set. The 41-year-old has previously wrestled for AEW at Universal Studios shows held on 15 January and 5 February, playing an enhancement role on both, as is typically the case with wrestlers who aren't signed to the promotion.
Raju has been a free agent since leaving IMPACT Wrestling at the start of the year. Regarded as one of the Anthem-helmed group's standout characters throughout his final few years with the company, his appearances there stretch back to May 2017, when he appeared as an unsigned talent. His one reign as X-Division champion ended to Manik at Final Resolution 2020 that December.
