Former NXT Tag Champions Drafted To Raw, SmackDown
The raiding of NXT continued Monday night with more wrestlers called to main roster.
The trend of calling up NXT superstars to the main roster as part of the WWE Draft continued Monday night when two sets of former tag champions were drafted during Raw.
Perhaps most incredibly, Pretty Deadly, last seen presumably being murked by Tony D'Angelo and Stacks, resurfaced unscathed and were drafted to SmackDown. The two-time former NXT Champions really had nowhere else to go in developmental, as their act was pretty much well-formed and ready for the main roster almost immediately after they came over from NXT UK.
YES BOY! ❤️ YES BOY! ❤️#PrettyDeadly just got drafted to #SmackDown in the #WWEDraft! Congratulations to @KitWilson_PD and @EltonPrince_PD! pic.twitter.com/xYMROKq3VZ

But Pretty Deadly weren't the only former tag champs to get called up from NXT on Monday night. Kayden Carter & Katana Chance were drafted to Raw later in the night which sets up an interesting situation with the duo challenging the current NXT Women's Tag Team Champions Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn on NXT Tuesday night. Fyre & Dawn were drafted to SmackDown on Friday night, and Carter & Chance immediately challenged them to a title match to try to take the straps off them before they leave.
But with Monday's development, that means no matter which pair wins Tuesday night, either the titleholders will be on the main roster, or the titles will be vacated.
