The former Chris Masters feels like he has been "exiled to a certain point" when it comes to a potential WWE return.

Speaking in a new interview with Chris Van Vliet, Masters (who now wrestles as Chris Adonis) said that while he didn't want to rule out the possibility of appearing for WWE again, it doesn't look likely:-

“I’d love to come back for a Royal Rumble or something like that. I mean you never say never. I feel like they could potentially reach out again at some point. But I’m kind of at the point where, at this point, I feel like I have been exiled to a certain point."

Adonis went on, claiming that a WWE comeback isn't one of his priorities:-

“We’ve seen it happen in the past. Like I said, never say never, they could reach out to me for something. I’ve just kind of taken it off my list of goals at this point. I’m focusing on the NWA and my education. It would be an exciting thing, but when you haven’t been reached out to in that period of time, it feels like that’s it.”

The 38-year-old is currently active in the NWA, where he recently defeated fellow former WWE wrestler Trevor Murdoch to become National Champion. He last worked for WWE in 2011, having returned for a second run two years prior, reprising the Masterpiece character that made him famous.
