Former WWE Champion Wrestling On NXT 2.0 Next Week!

Following in AJ Styles' footsteps on next week's WWE NXT 2.0 is...

Dolph Ziggler
WWE

Dolph Ziggler will wrestle Tommaso Ciampa on next week's episode of WWE NXT 2.0.

This was confirmed during last night's Vengeance Day event, during which Ziggler was interviewed by McKenzie Mitchell, claiming that he was going to put an end to Tommaso's hopes of regaining the NXT Championship from Bron Breakker.

Ziggler and Ciampa have been going back-and-forth for over a week now. Dolph made a surprise appearance on last week's show, interrupting an in-ring segment between Breakker and Santos Escobar, pulling Ciampa out from the back. The two brawled and, in retaliation, Tomasso showed up on Monday's episode of Raw, doing guest commentary for the Dirty Dawgs's match against The Street Profits, after which Dolph dropped the former NXT Champion with a superkick.

This will be the first time Ziggler, a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, has wrestled on NXT since an August 2013 victory over Rusev. It'll also be the first time he and Ciampa have shared a ring in any kind of competitive capacity.

Though Ciampa has spoken out against moving to the main roster several times in the past, the 36-year-old has worked three Main Event tapings in 2022, competing against T-Bar and Akira Tozawa.
