With Jeff Hardy initially set to headline last night's AAA Triplemania XXX: Tijuana, it was confirmed earlier in the week that the Charismatic Enigma was pulled from the show following his latest DUI arrest and subsequent suspension from AEW. In his place, it was announced that Matt Hardy would be teaming with a mystery partner to take on the tandem of Dragon Lee and Dralistico... and that partner wound up being Johnny Hardy.

In a promo earlier in the show, Matt revealed that the real-like John Hennigan, aka Johnny Hardy - aka John Morrison, aka Johnny Mundo, aka Johnny Impact, aka Johnny Superstar, aka Johnny Elite, etc, etc - would be teaming with him in the main event.

Unfortunately for Hardy, a miscommunication between him and Johnny would lead to his partner hitting him with a purposeful low blow, which would then lead to Dralistico putting Matt away for the 1-2-3. Post-match, the Monday Night Delight attacked the Los Faccion Ingobernables duo, before Hardy made the save and nailed Johnny with the Twist of Fate.

In other notable action, elsewhere on the Triplemania XXX: Tijuana card, AEW's Rey Fenix defeated Laredo Kid, Taurus, Bandido and Hijo del Vikingo to unify the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship and the Latin American Championship; Chik Tormenta was forced to unmask after losing to Flammer; Blue Demon Jr. beat Pentagon Jr., and Psycho Clown defeated Villano IV, setting up a Mask vs. Mask match between Penta and Villano for the final of the Ruleta de la Muerte tournament; and Taya Valkyrie called out AEW Women's Champion Thunder Rosa.
