Former WWE Star Says Company "Turned Down" His Rehab Request
This former star claims WWE flat out denied his personal rehab request.
Former WCW and WWE star Buff Bagwell claims the latter knocked back his rehab request.
Bagwell told the 'Who The Fook Are These Guys?' podcast that he's the "only person in the history of time" to get turned down when he asked WWE to check him into a rehabilitation centre for drug/alcohol problems in 2001.
According to Buff, Vince McMahon is a "piece of sh*t" for firing him after roughly a week under WWE contract; Bagwell told the podcast that he was still due $80,000 from his WCW deal before signing over. Instead of taking that, he sacrificed the sum and told then-WWF chiefs that he'd show them he could be a team player.
Things didn't end well on that front.
Buff described his sacking as "humiliation", but admitted that he'd often been "like the little boy who cried wolf" when it came to his personal problems. He's not sure if that worked against him or not when he asked for rehab. Either way, WWE were having none of it - they wanted to wash their hands of the troubled incomer.
Bagwell is still salty about that rehab request being denied.
