Former WWE Superstars & IMPACT Wrestlers Announced For Next Week's AEW Dynamite

The Forbidden Door is a revolving one at this point as yet more familiar faces set to land in AEW.

Donna Purrazzo Mercedes Martinez

IMPACT Wrestling stars Deonna Purrazzo and W. Morrissey are to appear on next week's episode of AEW Dynamite.

Purrazzo will be defending her Ring Of Honor Women's Championship against Interim ROH Women's Champion Mercedes Martinez, while the the former Big Cass was teased/as-good-as-confirmed during an MJF segment as his hand-picked opponent for former bodyguard Wardlow.

Purrazzo Vs Martinez will mark the former's debut on AEW's flagship show. Working a belt collector gimmick over the last two years, Purrazzo had previously simultaneously held gold in IMPACT, AAA and ROH, and was unable to defend her Championship at April's Supercard Of Honor XV due to IMPACT commitments on the same night. Martinez defeated Willow Nightingale to secure the temporary prize, and the pair will battle to unify the straps next Wednesday.

W.Morrissey's AEW bow will come via the aforementioned financial agreement with MJF.

Following a win over The Butcher eight days ago, Wardlow defeated Lance Archer, foiling his former gaffer's plans for another week. MJF subsequently got on the phone to a mysterious name only to reveal that 'Mr Mayhem's next opponent will be smarter, bigger and taller, before closing with Enzo & Cass' old "You can't teach that" catchphrase.
