Former WWE Tag Champs Have First Match In Two Months

Raw welcomes back duo not seen since October, and they still want the smoke.

After a two-month hiatus due to injury, the Street Profits were back in action this Monday night on WWE Raw, toppling the Alpha Academy in a fun tag match.

The Profits last competed as a duo at a 24 September house show against... Alpha Academy. They last tagged together on TV five days earlier on Raw against the Brawling Brutes. Angelo Dawkins had a televised singles match on the 3 October edition of Raw in a losing effort to Solo Sikoa.

During that episode, Montez Ford was shown in a walking boot, which meant the former tag champs would be out of action as a team for a while.

Dawkins & Ford were firing on all cylinders Monday night, with Montez attempting and finally succeeding in slamming Otis, while Angelo showed the same increased agility he had been displaying throughout the summer. The duo made it clear they were back and coming for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship.

Having the Street Profits back is great, but it's also a reminder that locking down both tag titles with the Usos really can hamper things for other teams. Still, adding depth in the form of an electric tag team - especially one with two potential singles stars - is rarely a bad thing.
