Former WWE Title-Holder Heading To NJPW
This former WWE wrestler's NJPW debut has just been confirmed.
Killer Kross will debut for New Japan Pro Wrestling's United States-based offshoot, Strong, next month.
The promotion broke the news on Tuesday, revealing that Kross will work the 1 April Lonestar Shootout event in Dallas, Texas.

Kross calls out NJPW legend Minoru Suzuki in the accompanying promo. Although the Suzuki-gun leader is yet to respond, it appears NJPW is heading in this direction for Lonestar Shootout, which takes place as part of WrestleCon over WrestleMania 38 weekend.
A two-time NXT Champion, the 36-year-old recently returned to the independent circuit following his November 2021 WWE release, which ended his run as Karrion Kross. Thus far, he has racked up appearances for companies like Warrior Wrestling, WrestlePro, and MLW, while also being announced for Control Your Narrative's own Dallas event on 31 March.
Signed by WWE in February 2020, Kross was booked to a near-unstoppable level in NXT, where he quickly captured the title before succumbing to injury that August. When he returned, Kross was thrust back into the spotlight, regaining the NXT Title from Finn Balor in April before dropping it to Samoa Joe four months later, freeing him to embark on a disastrous main roster run marred by bad booking and presentation.
