Former WWE Women’s Champion Heading To Impact Wrestling
Former ECW star & WWE Women's Champion to compete in Impact's Knockouts tag tournament.
Former WWE Women's Champion Jazz is heading to Impact Wrestling.
The veteran will team with Jordynne Grace in the first round of the company's Knockouts Tag Team Title tournament, as confirmed on last night's show. A potential clash with Havok and Nevaeh awaits in the second round should they emerge victorious.
Jazz and Grace's opponents are another set of former WWE wrestlers in Killer Kelly and Renee Michelle. Kelly was quietly released from WWE this January, having mostly worked in NXT UK, while Michelle is married to NXT's Drake Maverick and enjoyed a brief onscreen role alongside her husband shortly after the 24/7 Championship was introduced.
Jazz had previously announced her retirement due to health and personal issues in October. Her most recent high-profile gig came with the NWA, as she held the group's Women's Championship from September 2016 to April 2019, and last year saw her make an AEW cameo in All Out 2019's Casino Battle Royale. Surprisingly, she has never wrestled for Impact.
The Knockouts Tag Team Title tournament has already seen Havok and Nevaeh beat Alisha Edwards and Tenille Dashwood, and Tasha Steelz and Kiera Hogan overcome Ashley Vox and Delmi Exo.
