FS1 are set to air a WWE sit-in studio programme when SmackDown migrates to the network this October, and executives at the station have someone very familiar in mind to host it.

According to @Wrestlevotes, Fox have lined up the idea of Hall of Famer and long-time commentator Jerry 'The King' Lawler as anchor for the new show, on the basis that his status as one of the voices of WWE's biggest boom period will appeal to lapsed fans.

It's also been heavily suggested that regular WWE mouthpiece Renee Young will join 'The King' in the studio when it launches later this year.

SmackDown heads to FOX on 4 October, following the broadcasters billion-dollar deal for the rights last year. Triple H let slip about the studio show over WrestleMania weekend, promising it'll be unlike anything the company has produced before.
