FTR Have Standoff With MJF On AEW Dynamite
Top Guys came close to walking 'out' on the Pinnacle after heated confrontation.
It has not been a good month for the Pinnacle.
First Wardlow and Maxwell Jacob Friedman had a huge falling out leading to the former's banishment from AEW (more on that in a second) and then Wednesday, FTR had a couple of tense confrontations with MJF. The trio were backstage doing an interview where Maxwell trashed Wardlow, prompting Dax Harwood to stop him and point out that they were still friends with Mr. Mayhem and that the rivalry between him and MJF wasn't going to affect that. FTR were then hesitant to put their hands in with Friedman for their signature sign-off.
Later, FTR battled the Gunn Club in a tag battle that saw Billy Gunn get involved several times while MJF remained on commentary rather than saving his running buddies. He certainly wasn't going anywhere once he saw Wardlow enter the arena, but the Face of the Revolution was stopped and hauled off by a gaggle of security.
After winning their match, FTR shrugged off MJF's celebratory efforts, getting in his face and seemingly threatening to bounce him, but they eventually backed down and left with him.

The reaction from fans - albeit hometown-adjacent fans - for FTR was pretty solid, and the duo's challenge laid out later against the Young Bucks could foretell a face turn for the Top Guys. But for now, it looks like they'll soldier on as the Pinnacle with MJF.
