Just one day before the event itself, the NXT women's team set to take place in one of Survivor Series 2019's big 15-person tussles was finally confirmed last night, at the conclusion of NXT TakeOver: WarGames.

During a live stream with NXT honcho Triple H and Cathy Kelley, it was announced that team captain Rhea Ripley will be joined by Candice LeRae, Bianca Belair, Io Shirai & Toni Storm. They are scheduled to face off against Raw and SmackDown quintets respectively comprising Charlotte Flair, Natalya, Asuka, Kairi Sane & Sarah Logan, and Sasha Banks, Dana Brooke, Carmella, Nikki Cross & Lacey Evans.

Rhea Ripley's team heroically prevailed in last night's women's WarGames, after both Mia Yim and Tegan Nox had been taken out of the match in advance. Yim was waylaid before the show aired, and Nox was attacked by replacement Dakota Kai as part of the latter's vicious heel turn.

In the end, Ripley and LeRae withheld the challenge of Shayna Baszler, Shirai, Belair, & Kay Lee Ray. Despite being rivals, Ripley said after the show that she had chosen Belair and Shirai for her Survivor Series team because they both "stood out" last night. Right.

WWE Survivor Series 2019 takes places from Chicago, Il's Allstate Arena tonight.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
