Gail Kim has named Tessa Blanchard as her dream opponent for a sixty-minute Iron Man match.

The IMPACT Hall of Famer stated as such on the company's latest Press Pass podcast, which she hosted to promote Josh Alexander and TJP's impending X Division Championship Iron Man match on this week's Before The IMPACT. When asked by Sidney Pullar III of Sportskeeda which knockout she'd like to face in the match type, Gail retorted with 'The Undeniable One':-

"If I was going to go athletically, I would have to say Tessa Blanchard, just because with a sixty-minute Iron Man match just like these two phenomenal athletes we have on today. Not that I don't have the confidence in Taryn [Terrell] at all, I think that we would just do some crazy stuff, and you know, we probably wouldn't be able to walk the next day or the next week. So I'll go with the safer option, Tessa Blanchard."

Gail and Tessa had previously been involved in a rivalry in early 2019, culminating in the former's official retirement match at the inaugural Rebellion pay-per-view. Blanchard would defeat Gail, turning babyface in the process, and sending Gail into a behind-the-scenes role, with the inaugural Knockouts Champion now serving as a producer.

Hailed as one of the greatest knockouts ever, Gail had initially gone with TJP's answer of Taryn Terrell, whom Gail also had a tremendous rivalry with in the summer of 2013. The pair had a memorable Last Knockout Standing match at that year's Slammiversary pay-per-view, with Taryn going over:-

"It's hard for me because I've had many great opponents. I would say Taryn [Terrell] if we;re going to go for the balls to the wall story."

As of writing, Gail's last on-screen appearance for IMPACT came at Hard To Kill in January. She and former partner Madison Rayne presented Fire N Flava with the new Knockouts Tag Team Championships.
