GCW: The Collective WILL Go Ahead Over WrestleMania 37 Weekend

WrestleMania 37 weekend is happening. To an extent.

As reported by Fightful Select, Game Changer Wrestling will be promoting a plethora of indie events under their Collective banner, emanating from the Cuban Club in Ybor City, Florida from 8-10 April. This, of course, ties into WWE's two-day extravaganza over 10 and 11 April from Tampa's Raymond James Stadium.

The usual shows will be returning, from Joey Janela's Spring Break to Josh Barnett's Bloodsport, while a handful of last year's inaugural shows will also be adding to the lineup; these include Effy's Big Gay Brunch, Jimmy Lloyd's D-Generation F, and For The Culture.

In addition, some new content coming to the Collective Remix includes Allie Kat's Hot Girl Sh*t, the 16-man Acid Cup tournament to be held over two days, and the Alex Colon produce deathmatch event entitled Planet Death. Colon, a veteran of thirteen years, is a man synonymous with deathmatch wrestling through his work in Combat Zone Wrestling.

It's worth mentioning that all of these shows will be held outdoors, with a limited attendance of only 20%. Face coverings are mandatory, and ticket holders will have to adhere to a socially distanced seating chart.

Furthermore, ticket holders from the initial 2020 Collective (planned over WrestleMania 36 weekend) will have under Thursday evening to redeem their credit from last year, or rollover their package to either this year's shows or the 2022 Collective in Dallas.

This news should come as quite a delight after last year's WrestleMania weekend was ruined at the onset of the global pandemic. The events that did go down this past October in Indianapolis were fine, but the spectacle surrounding them was missing. Thankfully, it's back for 2021.

Tickets will go on sale this Friday at Noon.

The major players return such as Joey Janela's Spring Break and Josh Barnett's Bloodsport along with Effy's Big Gay Brunch, For the Culture, Jimmy Lloyd's D-Generation F.

New GCW Franchises joining The Collective include Allie Kat's Real Hot Girl s**t, the 2 day 16-Man Acid Cup Tournament and a special 'Alex Colon Produce' Deathmatch event called "Planet Death".

The Collective is also joined by new partners in rising upstart VXS, along with Florida favorites No Peace Underground and Unsanctioned Pro out of Ohio.

All in-ring action will take place OUTDOORS in the Cuban Club Courtyard and attendance will be capped at 20% of Capacity. Masks are required and tickets will be sold using a staggered and socially distanced seating chart. Covid safety protocols will be strictly enforced on the grounds.

2020 Tampa Collective Ticket Holders will have until Thursday at Midnite to redeem credit, rollover their 2020 packages or choose to reserve their credit or Rollover packages to 2022 in Dallas.
