Goldberg Challenges WWE Universal Champion Bray Wyatt At Super ShowDown 2020

The 'Fiend' is NEXT!

Goldberg Super ShowDown

Goldberg brought it via satellite on this week's episode of SmackDown and fired out a challenge to Bray Wyatt for the Universal Title. A few minutes later, WWE announced that the WCW icon would indeed be next in line for a shot at Wyatt's 'Fiend' come Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia on 27 February.

Before Michael Cole and Corey Graves could do their graphics rundown on commentary though, Bray interrupted Goldberg's promo with a comedic 'Firefly Fun House' news bulletin. In that goofy skit, Wyatt accepted on behalf of his alter ego and then promised that Bill, like everyone else he has faced, would regret it.

There's surely no Spear, Jackhammer and pin in Wyatt's immediate future. This Goldberg title shot is pure filler before WWE kickstart Bray's next big rivalry heading into WrestleMania, but it does offer up one intriguing scenario.

What if Goldberg changes for good?

Seth Rollins, Finn Bálor, The Miz and Daniel Bryan have all experienced change after working Wyatt. Could big Bill, a character known for being strait-laced, be next? Probably not. Again, this is a one-off designed to kill time before 'Mania.
