Goldberg Pitches Big WWE Return Match Against Surprising Babyface

WWE legend Bill Goldberg has one specific opponent in mind for his comeback.

Goldberg fancies making a WWE return soon, and the much-maligned comeback regular knows exactly who he wants to target first: Riddle.

Yes, it's true - big Bill told Bleacher Report that he'd "love to pop [Riddle] in the face a couple of times". During the interview, Goldberg also referenced his "controversial past" with the popular Raw star, and he thinks that'd give them a nice real-life backstory to work with.

One problem with this is that Goldberg is technically supposed to be a babyface. WWE might not want to run the risk of their 'in emergency break glass' part-timer hearing boos from the crowds. That's definitely a possibility given how over Riddle has become.

Riddle and Goldberg had a rather tense backstage confrontation at SummerSlam 2019, but they appear to have patched things up since. That'd explain why Bill is so keen to do some business with the laid back 'Bro' and work a match or two.

It's safe to say that Riddle's stock in WWE has gone through the roof thanks to his alliance with Randy Orton and sensational performances vs. the likes of Roman Reigns. Is a match with Goldberg next?
