Goldberg Still Under WWE Contract, Waiting For Return?
Bill Goldberg technically worked his last obliged WWE match in February, BUT...
Bill Goldberg might not be as finished with WWE as first thought.
The 55-year-old WCW icon has told the New York Post that although Elimination Chamber 2022's Universal Title match with Roman Reigns was the last on his agreed deal, he remains contracted to WWE.
Golberg clarified that he hasn't been cut, adding that "you never know when the phone's going to ring", and stated that he is in "pretty damn good shape right now."
"I'm still waiting for that one [call] to happen one of these days," said Bill of the prospect of severing ties with WWE. "But I suppose you never retire in the wrestling world until you're dead, so who knows."
The former WWE Universal Champion is seemingly ready to return to the market-leading promotion should they reach out to him.
That Goldberg's WWE deal was due to expire upon fulfilling his final contractually obliged match at Elimination Chamber was reported prior to the 19 February premium live event. The veteran has wrestled 12 times for WWE since returning opposite Brock Lesnar in 2016, working alongside such names as Bray Wyatt, The Undertaker, and Bobby Lashley on top of those already mentioned.
