PWInsider is reporting that Beth Phoenix is no longer under contract with WWE. Her latest deal lapsed, and both parties have decided to go their separate ways. The website says they've confirmed this with multiple sources behind the scenes.

Beth last wrestled under WWE's banner way back at Elimination Chamber 2023. There, she teamed with her husband Edge to beat Judgment Day duo Finn Bálor and Rhea Ripley. Phoenix also worked extensively as a commentator for the company; mainly on NXT.

This wasn't included in PWInsider's write-up, but there's already a lot of conversation online amongst fans about Beth's next move. Does she take a breather from pro wrestling entirely, or will the 'Glamazon' pop up in AEW alongside hubby Adam Copeland?

It's anyone's guess, but Tony Khan would presumably be interested in working something out.

For now, all that's known about Beth's immediate plans is she's no longer on WWE's books. Her contract ran out, both sides either failed to come to terms on an extension or didn't want to, and now she's a free agent. It'll be fun to find out what Phoenix wants to do now, if anything.
