Has The Rock Signed A Deal To Wrestle For WWE?
Update on The Rock's WWE contract status, and his reported feelings about a 'Mania 40 showdown.
The Rock has not signed a contract to wrestle under the WWE banner... "yet."
As noted by Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE sources claim that while 'The Great One' hasn't agreed to an official deal for him to bump in a match for the sports entertainment company, "the key word said about that is 'Yet.'"
Rocky is said to be very much into the idea of throwing down with his cousin Roman Reigns soon, and is "strong" on bringing that match to the 'Show of Shows'. Although, as of this week, that blockbuster showdown is still not locked in.
Meltzer also explained how the idea of seeing how much Saudi Arabia would pay for the mouthwatering clash was brought up on the back of the "crazy numbers they’ve paid for boxing matches," but it was stated that the Hollywood superstar is more interested in performing at WrestleMania right now.

One figure within the promotion even said that Rocky was "headstrong" about taking on 'The Tribal Chief' at the 'Showcase of the Immortals'.
The Rock was appointed to the TKO Board of Directors earlier this week, of course, and was quick to talk up a potential battle with Reigns during an appearance on ESPN's First Take.
Dwayne Johnson explained how, with Rock vs. Reigns in the main event and the rest of the talented current WWE roster bringing it, "we could possibly put on the greatest and the biggest WrestleMania of all time."
