At Backlash, Rhyno and Heath Slater defeated The Usos to win the tournament for the Smackdown Tag Team Titles. Now, the two teams will battle again at No Mercy, with the championships on the line.

The Usos - who have been the top heel team on Smackdown ever since turning on American Alpha two weeks ago - earned the title shot by scoring a win over Jason Jordan and Chad Gable on Tuesday's show. Though Gable fought hard in his first match back from a knee injury (suffered at the hands of The Usos), the two-time WWE Tag Team Champions targeted the former Olympian's knee again, rendering him unable to help his partner. After that, Jordan was stuck in a glorified handicap match, and The Usos were able to beat him.

Later in the show, The Usos approached Rhyno and Slater backstage, vowing to defeat them for the titles at No Mercy. It is expected that The Usos will capture the belts before long, then defend them against American Alpha.

No Mercy airs live on the WWE Network on October 9 at 8:00 PM ET. Other signed matches include WWE World Champion AJ Styles versus Dean Ambrose and John Cena in a triple threat match, and Smackdown Women's Champion Becky Lynch versus Alexa Bliss.
