NXT's Danny Burch is set to miss six months after suffering a separated shoulder on last week's show.

This was confirmed during last night's NXT, with announcer Vic Joseph providing the update. It sounds like Burch faces a long, gruelling recovery process.

The 39-year-old was hurt while teaming with tag partner Danny Burch to face Karrion Kross and Finn Balor. Seemingly taking a nasty shoulder bump off a double suplex spot, he was tended to on the outside while Lorcan worked the rest of the match alone, scoring the victory when Kross turned on Balor, decimating the NXT Champion.

NXT General Manager William Regal announced before yesterday's show that Burch's injury was severe enough to force him to strip him and Lorcan of the NXT Tag Team Championships. The duo had reigned with the belts since October, when they captured them from Breezango, but now find themselves beltless.

As confirmed yesterday, the vacant NXT Tag Team Championships will find new owners as MSK, Grizzled Young Veterans, and Legado Del Fantasma meet in a Triple Threat at TakeOver: Stand & Deliver on 7 April. Meanwhile, Lorcan lost to Kross in six minutes last night.
