Here's When Bayley & Sasha Banks Are Expected Back In WWE
A major update on the injured Bayley and Sasha Banks - and their returns to WWE.
This week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter includes an injury update on Sasha Banks and Bayley, both of whom are currently missing from WWE television.
Dave Meltzer writes that Banks is expected back in the company "just in time" for WrestleMania 38 (2 and 3 April). Her injury was announced earlier in the week, with WWE confirming that the former Raw and SmackDown Women's Champion would be on the shelf for 6-8 weeks after suffering a bruised calcaneus bone while wrestling a live event.
Banks is unfortunately out of contention for the Royal Rumble (29 January).
Bayley isn't expected to be ready in time for the 30-woman battle royal either. She tore her ACL while training at the Performance Center in July 2021 and while recovering by the Rumble isn't totally out of the question, February or March look likelier. The ThunderDome/Performance Center era standout had reconstructive surgery following her knee injury.
That Bayley's injury occurred while she and other wrestlers were training to return for a full-time return to the road in front of live fans for the first time since the pandemic's onset made it particularly cruel. Nonetheless, it looks like she'll be ready to return before too long.
