It looks like WWE plan on returning to Saudi Arabia this autumn, most likely for Crown Jewel 2020.

This is according to a new report from PWInsider. Per the writeup, 20 August had originally been pitched as a potential date until WWE changed their minds on account of its close proximity to SummerSlam (which goes down three days later) and Jeddah's summer climate, during which temperatures can hit up to 120 degrees.

With August no longer an option, it appears that WWE is looking at late October or early November instead. This would be in line with last year's Crown Jewel - which was held on Halloween.

WWE's last Saudi Arabian show, Super ShowDown 2020, was held last Thursday, and will likely go down as one of this era's most poorly-received wrestling events. A controversial night saw Brock Lesnar squash Ricochet in 90 seconds before a 53-year-old Goldberg destroyed the popular, merch-shifting, previously unbeatable 'Fiend' Bray Wyatt in under three minutes, with the deposed Universal Champion mounting only a couple of failed slithers of offense.

One night later, WWE popped a great SmackDown rating for John Cena's return and Goldberg's victory celebration, suggesting the backlash has had little impact on interest levels.
