Dominik Mysterio was under a ton of pressure before his debut WWE match against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam 2020. Rey's son knew Rollins would help lead him through things, but he was aware he'd have to uphold his end of the bargain to make the match a special one.

Dom also realised that Vince McMahon would be watching closely.

During an interview with talkSPORT, Mysterio revealed that McMahon was waiting for him behind the curtain at the Amway Center following his pay-per-view bow. Privately, Dominik knew the match had gone well, so he wasn't too worried about what anyone else might think.

He was still slightly surprised to receive a warm embrace from the boss for his efforts.

Vince was chuffed to bits with Dominik's hard work, and told him he was so proud of the way he had handled such a high pressure spot. That praise meant everything to Mysterio.

He'd watched others (including his father) get a hug from McMahon after returning to Gorilla, and he viewed it as the ultimate reward for a job well done.

Dom told Vince that he was thankful for the opportunity and described it as a "crazy experience". It won't be his last.
