With TNA making its much-hyped debut on AMC last Thursday, the ratings are now in for that AMC premiere of the promotion's weekly iMPACT show.

Via f4wonline, that episode averaged 173,000 viewers. Now, while it's not known what the viewership numbers were for the company's previous run on AXS TV, that 173,000 number is presumed to be a significant increase on what TNA was bringing in during its time on AXS. On that front, the most recent AXS ratings available, which are from several years ago, had the weekly shows averaging around the 100,000 mark.

In terms of the key demographic, the AMC premiere drew a 0.04 number in the 18-49 demo. That's in a similar range to what AMC usually averages in prime time spots, and is an increase on what TNA was getting on AXS a few years ago, where the Anthem outlet was floating between 0.01 and 0.03. Interestingly, that 18-49 number was higher than the 0.03 brought in by this past week's episode of AEW Collision, though Collision averaged more overall viewership with 271,000.

As for the AMC premiere, highlights were Mike Santana defeating Frankie Kazarian for the TNA World Championship, an appearance by AJ Styles, and the surprise debuts of Daria Rae (the former Sonya Devilla) and Elayna Black (fka Cora Jade). Despite that, the rest of the episode largely underwhelmed, with the production values and certain creative decisions questioned - or outright slated - by large portions of the wrestling world, particularly as this episode was intended to build momentum for the TNA Genesis PPV that took place just two days later.
