How Much Does Alberto Del Rio Earn In Lucha Underground?

Alberto El Patron (formerly WWE's Alberto Del Rio) is making $500,000 a year from Lucha Underground, reports the Wrestling Observer. That news is amazing considering most of the performers in Lucha Underground have long term contracts where they have low per match deals. Obviously he's more well paid because of the huge success he had in WWE for the four years he was there when he was largely pushed as a main event level talent.

The current situation for Lucha Underground is they have taped all their episodes for their first season that will end in August. While a second season isn't confirmed, it's likely going to happen and they would start taping later in the summer. The good thing about their schedule is that when they tape shows they only tape for a few days per month, so there's a lot of time off. In other El Patron news, the Observer noted that since he suffered a partially torn quad in March, he hasn't done any MMA training aside from boxing routines as part of his regular fitness training. He had been in talks about doing a MMA or kickboxing match at some point, but that seems unlikely at this point. He received some offers from different promotions for a shoot fight of some kind, but nothing has happened in that regard.
