How Much Is WWE REALLY Paying Kevin Owens Now?
MORE details on Kevin Owens' new WWE contract, including salary, length, and more.
It sounds like Kevin Owens has netted himself a bumper salary after re-signing with WWE.
Fightful Select reported yesterday that the former Universal Champion had accepted "an excellent offer" to stay with the company, having signed a new multi-year contract to end months of speculation. With KO's previous deal expiring in January, a jump to AEW had been linked, though Fightful noted that AEW talent didn't believe the Tony Khan-helmed group would be able to match a WWE offer.
Today's Wrestling Observer Radio saw Dave Meltzer state that Owens signed a deal for "very good money" paying somewhere in the region of $2-3 million per year. Per Meltzer, Kevin's new contract is for three years.
The Observer man corroborated Fightful's note that this was likely more than he'd be able to get in AEW, where only a handful of wrestlers earn a comparable amount of money.
Owens is currently involved in a WWE Championship feud on Raw. The WWE Day 1 pay-per-view on New Year's Day will see him, Bobby Lashley, and Seth Rollins challenge for Big E's belt in a Fatal Four-Way, with Lashley earning his spot on this week's Raw show.
