How Yokozuna Terrified WWE's Doink Doppelgänger At WrestleMania IX

YOKO SMASH!

Doink The Clown Wrestlemania 9

WWE uploaded a bonus clip from their FCW documentary on YouTube. In it, Steve Keirn talked about playing a doppelgänger Doink The Clown character at WrestleMania IX in 1993.

According to Keirn, the company put him under the ring before filing fans into the venue for the show, and he stayed there until working his spot with (original Doink) Matt Borne and Crush. Then, after that, Keirn returned to his seat underneath the ring and watched the rest of the show on a monitor.

He wasn't allowed to move from his position until the card was finished and fans had left the building.

Keirn had a good time until Yokozuna entered for his main event with Bret Hart. He was directly under the same corner Yoko started the match in, and he remembers almost going deaf when the big man stomped on the canvas - every bump after that was torture for Doink 2.0.

The booming sounds Yokozuna's body made when he hit the mats nearly caved Keirn's skull in, and he genuinely thought he wouldn't be able to hear after the show had finished.

What a story.
