Big-name WWE signing Gable Steveson was present on last night's episode of Raw, making his first regular television appearance for the promotion since signing for the market-leading promotion earlier in the year.

The Olympic wrestler was shown in the front row ahead of Bobby Lashley's match with Kevin Owens. While KO shot disparaging glances at Steveson as he showed his medal off, Lashley and manager MVP were more receptive, bumping fists with Gable before hitting the ring.

Though Steveson wasn't used elsewhere in the evening, WWE still made a point of focusing on him after bringing up the company's 15 new signings through the NIL program. Gable was something of a progenitor of NIL, having signed a unique WWE contract allowing him to monetise his own name, image, and likeness in September.

Steveson shot to fame by scoring the gold medal in 125 kg men's freestyle wrestling at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. Making his first full WWE appearance at SummerSlam 2021 (21 August), he was assigned to the Raw roster as part of the 2021 WWE Draft in October.

Currently completing his college tenure, Steveson isn't expected to become a regular WWE fixture until 2022.
