HUGE Gimmick Match Announced For WWE Crown Jewel 2022
One of WWE's biggest ongoing feuds will end in Saudi Arabia at Crown Jewel.
WWE has confirmed that Drew McIntyre and Karrion Kross will meet in a 'Steel Cage' match at the upcoming Crown Jewel pay-per-view on 5 November in Saudi Arabia.
The match was made on this past Friday's episode of SmackDown.
Kross wasn't in the house for that, but Drew announced during a backstage promo that he had some "uncomfortable conversations" with company higher-ups following the pair's car crash brawl on last week's show. Then, the big Scot revealed that he'd battle Karrion inside the cage over in Saudi.
It's believed that this will be the blowoff for one of SmackDown's top feuds - Kross targeted McIntyre immediately after returning to WWE in August. Then, following a few months of hype, the pair collided in a 'Strap Match' at Extreme Rules.
Karrion won that gimmick match, but it's unlikely he's going to earn a second stipulation-based win over McIntyre at Crown Jewel. The cage will (in theory) also keep Scarlett out of the ring and stop her from interfering in the bout.
Drew was fired up during his promo on SmackDown, so he's all in on this rematch.
