While some may speculate that this could mean the second-generation star will having a role to play on Raw this evening, instead the belief is that Charlie is in attendance tonight as he'll be wrestling a match on WWE Main Event.

Ahead of the show airing on Thursdays, WWE usually tapes Main Event contests prior to Raw going live. As is often the case, many an NXT star is brought up to work these Main Event tapings as a way for the talent involved to perform in front of a large crowd and to work opposite main roster stars. For example, last week's Main Event featured both Dante Chen and Trick Williams in singles matches, and the prior episode featured Carmelo Hayes getting a win over Akira Tozawa.

Where Charlie Dempsey is concerned, he's viewed as a major prospect by many fans and those within WWE. As the son of William Regal, the real-life Bailey Matthews has already demonstrated an impressively physical submission-based style since debuting in NXT UK in 2021. With that UK brand being brought to an end ahead of relaunching as NXT Europe at some point later this year, Dempsey found himself joining the main NXT roster in Orlando last August.
