Bayley vs. Sasha Banks for the SmackDown Women's Championship will likely headline WWE Hell In A Cell 2020.

This is the word of WrestleVotes, who reported the following on Tuesday night:-

This will be the first time Banks and Bayley have gone one-on-one on pay-per-view since their famous 30-Minute Iron Man battle at NXT TakeOver: Respect in October 2015. They haven't wrestled any kind of singles match since working a no contest on the 12 November 2018 episode of Raw.

Widely regarded as one of the most rewarding long-term storylines in wrestling at the moment, Bayley and Sasha recently paid off months of tension when WWE's 'Role Model' attacked 'The Boss' after failing to regain their lost Women's Tag Team Championships on the 4 September SmackDown. The war has continued since then, with Banks repaying her former friend's recent chair assaults at Clash of Champions, where she was still sporting a neck brace.

Hell In A Cell 2020 goes down on 25 October. No matches have been confirmed for the event yet, but Banks vs. Bayley looks like a no-brainer.

This will be Bayley's first HIAC bout but Sasha's third, having worked Becky Lynch (2019) and Charlotte Flair (2016) inside the structure. The Flair clash was the first time a women's match had ever main-evented a WWE pay-per-view.
