WWE has today announced that Seth Rollins vs. Riddle will not be happening at SummerSlam this weekend.

As revealed on The Bump, the Original Bro has been "medically disqualified" from in-ring action due to a "brachial plexus injury" suffered at the hands of Rollins during the show-closing minutes of this week's Raw.

As per Fightful Select, this injury is not a legitimate one. Instead, a WWE source said the decision to pull this match from SummerSlam was down to "creative adjustments".

The two talents themselves were informed of this change on Monday - which would explain the viciousness of Seth's assault - with the current plan being to instead do Rollins vs. Riddle at the Clash at the Castle premium live event in Cardiff, Wales on Saturday 3 September. Of course, those plans could still change by the time that UK show rolls around...

At present, Seth Rollins is still set to travel to the Nashville set of SummerSlam this weekend, with him booked in for media obligations on Friday. The Visionary's wife, Becky Lynch, is also in action this coming Saturday, as she challenges for the Raw Women's Championship currently held by Bianca Belair.
