This gang of rotting old flesh-eaters surrounded the ring for Priest and Miz's lumberjack match. Why? Because the pay-per-view was sponsored by Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead, starring Dave Bautista.
Batista teased some of his "friends" being at WrestleMania Backlash prior to the event:-
Wishing good luck to all the WWE Superstars competing tonight at #WMBacklash. Sorry I couldn’t make it … but some of my friends will. #ArmyOfTheDead @WWE

Per a new report from Fightful Select, other Performance Center athletes among the zombie crew included former CZW World Heavyweight Champion Joe Gacy, Cal Bloom, and Daniel Vidot. Ikemen Jiro and Asher Hale may have been part of the undead lineup as well.
Army of the Dead is due for release on Netflix this coming Friday (21 May). The film was granted a limited theatrical release last week.
Batista ended up narrating the opening WrestleMania Backlash video package as well. This featured clips from Army of the Dead preceding footage highlighting the pay-per-view's biggest matches, including every major title program.
