In the wake of multiple accusations of sexual harassment and assault from the #SpeakingOut movement, Impact Wrestling has announced that Michael Elgin "will not be appearing in any further Impact Wrestling programming."

The statement was made to PWInsider.com earlier today by Impact's parent company Anthem Sports and Entertainment. While it does not specify that Elgin has been fired from Anthem or his contract terminated, it does make clear that Elgin will not be appearing on Impact programming going forward. Elgin has also been removed from the roster page of the Impact's official website and all merchandise related to him has also been removed for sale.

The issuance came after Impact suspended Elgin on June 22, around the same time they fired likewise-accused talent Dave Crist and Joey Ryan, saying he would remain suspended until "further review" into the allegations was completed.

Elgin responded to the news in a post to his Instagram page;

I appreciate the time and opportunities given to me with Impact. That locker room, the film crew and all the company officials were a pleasure to be associated with. I hope that in time things get sorted. For now, I have to look at the bright side, I have more time to spend with my son and reclaim time that has been missed."

Shortly after posting this statement, he deleted his social media accounts. Elgin has yet to respond to the multiple accusations of harassment and sexual impropriety that led to his dismissal.

Elgin was originally scheduled to defend the Impact title in the main event of Slammiversary next month against Tessa Blanchard, Trey Miguel, Eddie Edwards and Ace Austin. Blanchard, the most recent World Champion, was fired by Impact earlier this week. Blanchard, whose contract was set to expire early next month, had reportedly fallen out with Impact management after refusing to film on-air content while quarantining in Mexico.
