Impact Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo Finally Offered Full-Time Contract
Is Impact about to lock down one of its standout performers?
Impact Wrestling has finally offered a full-time contract to current Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo, who had been working for the promotion as a freelancer despite taking one of the group's top titles in July.
A new report from Fightful Select revealed the offer on Tuesday. There's no word on whether or not Purrazzo has actually agreed to sign yet, though the deal is said to be for at least two years and increases in value as time passes by. Impact put the offer together in the wake of speculation that Purrazzo could be set to depart the company in October.
Released from WWE as part of the promotion's mass April cuts, Purrazzo landed on her feet in Impact, debuting for the Anthem-helmed company less than two months later. She made an immediate splash by defeating Jordynne Grace to become Knockouts Champion at Slammiversary on 18 July. A Bound for Glory match with Kylie Rae now awaits 'The Virtuosa,' having lain the Grace feud to rest following a 30-minute Iron Man match last week.
It'll be interesting to see if Purrazzo chooses to commit her future to Impact, as she won't be short of offers from elsewhere.
